I am a New Zealand GP working in the city of Nelson. I am passionate about nutrition and have completed a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition through Cornell University. A whole food plant based diet is not a fad diet but rather a sustainable change in the food we choose to eat. There is growing evidence that incorporating more foods from plants, which are whole and unprocessed, has a huge positive effect on our health. I created this website because I want to empower my patients and others to live a full and healthful life.

Our bodies are designed to withstand great forces both physically and mentally and are skilled beyond scientific perception at self-repair and rejuvenation at an unconscious level.

All we need to do is make a conscious effort to give our body all the resources it needs for this. Therefore I believe what is fueling our body, food, is the most important variable we can modify to improve our health. Being healthful allows us to be happy, do the things we enjoy in life and be there for our friends and whanau. This website focuses mainly on food as a way to improve quality of life. I believe if people are empowered and have the skills to nourish their bodies, they can focus on health rather than illness.
